# Release
|
|
|
|
A Release is the unit of deployment consisting of a [Build](build.md) and a set of
|
|
environment variables.
|
|
|
|
A Release is created every time you create a new [Build](build.md) or
|
|
change the [App](../app.md)'s environment.
|
|
|
|
